T’is two days after Christmas and I’m not at my house
I’m not at my office and I’m not out and about
I’m at the doctor again.
This time meeting with Dr. Bae, a cardiologist. She’s nice and has read all of the various reports from my previous tests and whatnot. What she has to say is pretty much in line with what everyone else has told me - there isn’t much evidence as to what happened back in September, the shunt may (or may not) have contributed to the situation, there isn’t much that should be done at this point aside from taking aspirin and folic acid.
She did check my cholesterol (which is fine) and my blood pressure (120/87 - slightly higher than is normal for me) and ordered a full EKG (since they don’t have one on record).
Sally, one of the nurses, came in to find me sitting there shirtless, smelly (don’t know why since I’d taken a shower in the morning) and waiting for the test. She complimented me on my tattoos and told me that she was interested in getting one herself and had almost done it for her 60th birthday. She was very friendly and quick - had me all hooked up in no time and printed out the results moments later.
There was nothing unusual to be found so I was once again sent on my way with a pat on the back and the admonition to go to an ER if anything like the event in September ever happens again.
